First Stinger of 2010!
Hello everyone and welcome to the first official Stinger of the New
Year! If the year continues as it has started, it is going to be a very
exciting and prosperous year for everyone in the Scorpion family!
New Price List
As
everyone knows by now, the new Scorpion Price List went into effect on
January 25, 2010. There are a few new items available this year,
including the availability of both the 1-gallon and 99-Gallon Kits to
the Scorpion dealer network.
There were many notable price decreases this year including the
Accelerator, Cleaner, LMR, Vinyl Flattener, and even the individual
components of the XO2 itself!
As the year goes on, Scorpion will have many other new product
announcements that are currently in the works. It is a very exciting
time to be in the industries that Scorpion and its applicators are in,
and all of us here at Scorpion HQ are very humbled that all of you out
there have allowed us to be part of your journey.
Product News: Vinyl Flattener Increases Shore Hardness
 If
your customer likes the sample you handed him, but would really like
something a bit harder -then turn around and hand him a sample with the
Vinyl Flattener additive. Vinyl Flattener will give the coating a
semi-gloss finish and a noticeably harder surface. In fact, when using
Vinyl Flattener at full strength – the Shore A hardness of the coating
will increase from the 85-88 range to the 95-98 range.
This additive, developed by Scorpion for the US National Guard also
reduces gloss by 17% and is used by many Scorpion applicators on the
West Coast of the US for a matte or satin finish.
Scorpion International
Since the last Stinger, Scorpion has had two new international
applicators/distributors come aboard. Scorpion would like to officially
welcome:
Especialidades En Carrocerias is based out of Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic and Scorpion is very excited to have them aboard and to have
another strong company using our materials in the Carribean region.
Scorpion is also excited to announce that it has entered into a
distribution agreement for “Eastern Africa” with Africa One Logistics
based out of Kampala, Uganda. This agreement, along with that of
Scorpion Coatings West Africa LTD (Lagos, Nigeria) now gives Scorpion
two points of distribution on the African continent. All of us here at
Scorpion are excited by these partnerships and are humbled that of all
the companies in all of the world, they decided to invest in us and our
product.
Escorpion Mexico would also like to announce a new dealer in Sinalao,
Mexico. Route Garage, owned by Ricardo Lomell Murillo, specializes in
detailing, restoration, accessories, and repair work. The company will
not only look to integrate Scorpion into these activities but are also
looking at spraying Scorpion on metallic structures and metallic covers
used in gas stations.
