Coverage Recommendations for XO2So many times we get asked “How much XO2 should I be spraying in a X’ bed liner?” This is a common question and we want to give installers our recommendations. Be sure to print this out or bookmark this page in your browser. This information is also located in your shop manual. Background InformationScorpion XO2 is mixed at a ratio of 2.5 parts A, to 1 part B, to 1 part C. With this ratio, it has always been difficult to make in true gallon sizes. That is why we came up with batch sizes nearly 20 years ago. The batch size not only makes mixing in mixing containers easy but it also conforms to standard packaging. That is where the 9 gallon kit came from. 5 gallons bucket of A, 2 gallons of B and 2 gallons of C. Mix in a 5 quart container to 4.5 quarts and you are good to go.If you were to break a large batch into gallons it would equal 9 quarts or 1.125 gallons. This is a very ugly conversion to gallons. That is one reason we made the 2 gallon kit to make it easier on applicators. We meter off the materials in the 2 gallon kits so you don’t have to worry about any measuring. So when thinking about spraying bed liners with 2 gallon kits and batches, they will never be the same. They will however be very close.[separator type=’pattern’ pattern_full_width=’no’ up=’20’ down=’20’]For Applicators Mixing in Batches[separator type=’transparent’ up=’10’ down=’10’]8 Foot Standard Pickup Truck Under RailsStandard Use ApplicationThis Scorpion application will exhibit excellent non-skid characteristics, UV stability, and puncture resistance. Objects such as tools and firewood can be placed in the bed and carried without marring the bed. Heavy objects (especially those with sharp edges) should not be pulled over the liner.Standard Application: 2 Large Batches + 1 Medium BatchLarge Batch (4.5 quarts) – Spray Truck WallsLarge Batch (4.5 quarts) – Spray Bed Floor and TailgateMedium Batch (4.5 pints) – Overspray texture on entire truck and tailgateCommercial Use ApplicationThis Scorpion application will exhibit excellent non-skid characteristics, UV stability, and puncture resistance. Standard tools, lumber, etc. may be thrown into the bed without structural damage to the bed. Heavy objects without sharp edges may be placed and hauled without more than slight surface marring. This is an excellent contractor grade application.COMMERCIAL APPLICATION: 3 LARGE BATCHESLarge Batch (4.5 quarts) – Spray Truck WallsLarge Batch (4.5 quarts) – Spray Bed FloorLarge Batch (4.5 quarts) – Tailgate and Overspray on Bed FloorNOTE: ADD MEDIUM BATCH TO SPRAY OVER THE RAILSNOTE: FOR HEAVY ABUSE APPLICATIONS, ADD MORE MATERIAL AS NEEDED[separator type=’pattern’ pattern_full_width=’no’ up=’20’ down=’20’]6 Foot Standard Pickup Truck Under RailsStandard Use ApplicationThis Scorpion application will exhibit excellent non-skid characteristics, UV stability, and puncture resistance.
